Changing Lives, Transforming a Nation

Our Story
Our Story Titian Ministries International began with a courageous yes. In 1989, Rev. Sharon Titian, a young Canadian missionary, followed God’s call to the Volta Region of Ghana. There, she confronted the deeply rooted Trokosi shrine system—an abusive practice enslaving young girls. Sharon gained favour with the Trokosi Priests. Over time, she was able to bring the girls out and educate them. Her advocacy helped lead to the 1998 abolition of Trokosi in Ghana. As the ministry grew, Sharon founded literacy programs, Bible schools, the Loaves & Fishes elderly feeding program, and a loving home for abandoned and vulnerable children. Her life became a testimony of compassion, bravery, and relentless obedience. Rev. Sharon passed away in July 2011 and Dr. Gerrie Armaly, a close friend and seasoned minister stepped in as International Director. Today the ministry has been fully restored and is flourishing

- Isaiah 61:1
“The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”
