LOAVES AND FISHES FOR THE ELDERLY
Cast me not off in the time of old age;
forsake me not when my strength faileth.
Psalms 71:9
The Lord has given us a
burden to provide food for the elderly people in the Adidome area
who are destitute. We also give them medicine, soap and other
basic needs as the Lord provides. Some of the local pastors and
our Bible College students minister to them weekly. For many of
them, it is their only hope for salvation before they die. The
Lord commands us to care for the orphans and the widows.
Update December 3,
2009
In May of this year a
four member team from Grand Valley Christian Centre, Brantford,
Ontario, Canada visited the mission. Lawrence Willson and
Kerry Bourgeiose came prepared with funds and willing hands to lay
the foundation for a new centre for the elderly in Adidome. Before
they could start a huge miraculously felled BowBow tree had
to be removed from the property. After fervent
prayer and the subsequent help from the Lord our visitors along
with local workmen accomplished the task of removing the tree.
Everyone sang praises to our Lord!
Over their two week
visit, the footings were in, and the cementing of the foundation
was underway. May God bless our visitors for their efforts
in His Holy Name on this building.
We are ready to
complete the roof as funds become
available. We build this centre to the glory of God who has
made all things possible. May it bless many.
Our seniors look
forward to the new pavilion where they will share a meal and
meet together
