Our goal is to complete the senior’s pavilion. Through Him all things are possible. We will build this centre to the glory of God who has made all things possible. May it bless many.
Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. Psalms 71:9
The Lord gave Rev. Sharon Titian a burden to provide food for the elderly people in the town of Adidome who were destitute. For many years they received one meal a day, five days a week, medicine, soap and other basic needs as the Lord provided. Local pastors and our Bible College students would minister to them weekly. For many of the elderly, it was their only hope for salvation before they die.
The Lord commands us to care for the orphans and the widows. Therefore we were pleased to hear that the Ghana Social Welfare has begun to provide a small pension for the elderly and we were able to help many of them to fill out their applications. The pension will help them provide for their own food. It is our prayer that we will be able to continue with the tradition of an annual Christmas party with them like those Rev. Sharon invited them to each year.
In May, 2009, a four member team came to Ghana from Canada. They layed the foundation for a senior’s pavilion for the elderly in Adidome. Before they could begin a huge felled BowBow tree had to be removed from the property. After fervent prayer and subsequent help from the Lord our visitors along with local workmen accomplished the task of removing the tree! Praise God!
Part of our vision is to be able to show God’s love for the elderly by finishing the pavilion for them.
