The 7th Annual Crop for a Cause in Ancaster, Ontario was a full twelve hour event hosted by Tracy Sherriff and Kristine Fowler along with some family members and friends in support of the children under the care of Titian Ministries International. Approximately 40 women, some attending for the first time but most returning for another day of fun. Scrap booking and card making were the order of the day with everyone bringing their unfinished projects to work on plus workshops to enjoy in a group ”make and take’ of unique Christmas cards designed by the ladies from Say Yes to the Card. Breakfast, dinner and snacks were served throughout the day. Everyone went home with a door prize. A prize was given for a two page picture layout which incorporated swatches of batik material from Ghana. Very creative ideas were displayed. It was hard to decide which was most effective! Tables laden with scrap booking supplies and crafts were available to recycle and we were pleased to have Julie from Sassy Scrapping come all the way from London to spend the day with us. We had a great deal of help setting up, serving, packing up, and helping everyone transport their supplies from their cars to the church by two young men. Thanks to Justin and Gregory. Jill Hood gave an update about the most recent mission trip to see the children on behalf of the Board of Directors. It was very well received. The amount raised from the event was $1,469.00. Praise God!
