In obedience to the
Lord, we opened our doors to the orphaned and abused children in
the Volta Region. Many children are victims of HIV/AIDS as well
as child labor and trafficking. By God’s grace we are providing a
home for them where we can nurture them and share the love of
Jesus with them.
We believe that the
Lord has a purpose for each of these children; and especially
those who have no relatives. Some of them will work with us at
the mission after they complete their education if they so desire.
The Lord has provided
three and a half acres of land for us on the ocean at Keta, Volta
Region. We look forward to building and establishing the Guest
House which will help support the children and new facilities to
house them and the Vocational Training Centre. We have been given
a facility to use temporarily by the local District Assembly.
WHAT'S NEW:

May, 2010
We
are excited and grateful to the Lord!
Dan
and Nancy Boisvert, of Connecticut, USA are steadily moving toward
their July relocation to Ghana. Please pray for them as they
answer the Lord's call on their lives to build a permanent home
for The Children of |Zion in the seaside town of Anloga, in the
Volta Region. There is much to do state side as they sell their
home, and move into a condo complex in the area so they can be
close to the family when they return for a few months every year.
At
the same time they have begun to build their own living quarters
on the mission land and are working very hard to raise funds so
that the children's portion of the building can be completed.
As
well as caring for the children Dan and Nancy will be helping with
two other ministries under our umbrella. Dan will be
teaching a few classes in the nearby Bible School in Adidome, and
they both will be periodically helping with the daily elderly
feeding program.
The
Boisverts both feel that they will never be able to solve World
Hunger, but they can do their part to help these "little people"
and elderly folk that have been overlooked and forgotten for so
long a time. Blessings to them!
If
you would like to help Dan and Nancy to fulfill these needs for
His people, a tax free donation can be made. (See the "click
here to donate" page of this website.) Please "Memo" your check or
donation online as "The Children of Zion" to have your donation go
entirely for the care and housing of the children.

Following his bath and nourishing food his life began to change.

In just a few days a 13 member team from
Niagara College, Welland Ontario, Canada will be visiting at the
Children of Zion Children's Home in Anloga. We are
looking forward to hosting them for three days. Mr. Phil
Durrant, Department of Social Services, is leading the team. May
God bless them as they prepare and travel to Ghana. Everyone
at the mission looks forward to their coming. Welcome
Niagara!
Update December 2, 2009
As the end of this year approaches we
thank the Lord for his continued grace and favor on the coastal
project.
We are thankful that
Dan and Nancy Boisvert, of the United States, have heard and responded to His
call on their lives and will be coming to Ghana next year to help
love and care for the children in our care. They have already
provided some of the funds to begin building permanent housing
facilities for the Children of Zion. The Boisverts will live
with the children in this new residence.
We encourage you to partner with them
to complete the new residence. Donations can be made through
the website. Substantial amounts should be mailed directly
to either the US or Canadian offices depending on where the reader
is located. See the Contact page for further information.
We would encourage
you to partner with us in prayer for the fulfillment of every part
of the vision; the children's residence, the guest house and
vocational training centre.
